Teapot

I feel like this teapot reflects me most as a person. I say this because it's my second project that I've made that has to do with soccer. To me this piece is personal because soccer is an escape for me. This artwork is obviously about a soccer ball supposebly on grass. This expresses me because I care about soccer, a lot, more than a lot of other things.

Ancient Vase

The project that was my biggest challenge was my ancient vase. It was the most challenging to me because I'm not that great with coils and I had to do coils for the whole thing. My main solution was substituting some of the coils out for slabs. This helped a lot because it made it easier to finish. If I could do this over again I would have made it smaller than it is now, and painted a little darker. I was very pleased with this vase after I was finished and it is probably one of my best projects I've made all semester. So, I consider this piece of artwork a success.

Coil Vase

The first project I made was a coil vase and that helped me improve my skills because I had no idea how it would turn out or even work out. I had to learn how to slip and score properly and how to roll out coils. Before I started this project I didn't have any idea how to even make a vase out of clay, I also didn't know that there was a technique called coiling. I did get the results I wanted and for my first project I was very please with how it ended up.

Pinch Pot Monster

My favorite ceramics project would have to be the pinch pot monster. This was my favorite because I had the opportunity to be creative. I've never had to make a pinch pot before this this project so that was new for me. I glazed this piece with some of my favorite colors but it was a little challenging because of all the different things on it. I feel like this was a success because I really like it and I felt like I did a good job with it.
